ECRC’s mission is to empower businesses to develop sustainable business models, in addition to improving the national capacity to design, apply and monitor sustainable CSR policies.

Activities
  • Business Development Advisory services and capacity building (Training) to the private sector
  • Developing CSR strategies in three sectors (Agriculture, Financial and Textile)
  • Catalyzing the business sector to engage in Strategic Social Investment through developing Sustainable business
Partnerships and Stakeholder engagement
  • 1. Partnership with Egyptian Organization of Standards (EOS) in order to advance the uptake of ISO 26000 (Social Responsibility Standard) in Egypt.
  • a. Develop local calibers to implement ISO 26000 ( train of trainers )
  • b. Advise on the implementation of the ISO guideline in private sector companies.
  • 2. Partnership with the Arab African International Bank to raise awareness for Sustainable Finance in Egypt by :
    • Promoting UN Global Compact & Sustainability standards relevant to the Financial Sector that enhance responsible and inclusive finance; and to establish Egypt as a trendsetter in Sustainable Finance.
    • Supporting banks in Egypt to join sustainability frameworks (Equator Principles, Global Compact, PRI, London Benchmarking Group….etc.).
    • Developing Blue print (Guiding Materials) for Sustainable Finance
    • Developing a national model for inclusive banking, an appropriate business and delivery model, that serves all excluded sections of the society, rural and urban.
